After breakfast, you will depart Kigali for a scenic cross-border journey into southwestern Uganda, traveling through the Cyanika border post. Today is dedicated to one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters as you set out early for gorilla trekking in the Bwindi–Mgahinga ecosystem. Guided by expert rangers, you will hike through dense forest to spend a precious hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family. In the afternoon, the experience continues with a Batwa cultural visit, offering insight into the traditions, music, and history of the region’s indigenous forest people, making for a deeply enriching day.
