This 10 days best of Uganda safari will take you to the best and most exciting destinations in Uganda. Exploring the world’s most powerful falls in Murchison falls national park which is the oldest and largest national park in Uganda, it is characterized by open savannah riverine forest and woodland vegetation with various wildlife and beautiful scenic views of falls. Thus making it one of the top Uganda safari destinations.  Kibale forest national park is a home to Uganda’s highest population of chimpanzees making it famous for chimpanzee tracking. In Queen Elizabeth national park, famous for tree climbing lions in Ishasha and a boat cruise along the kazinga channel that connects the two rift valley lakes lake George and lake Edward. Other destinations will include Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes on planet earth and lastly Lake Mburo national park.  This ten day safari with bring you breathtaking views of the terrain and wildlife including the big four animals (elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions). Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Upon arrival, our tour guide will give you a warm reception to the pearl of Africa and brief you about your safari then later transfer you to your place of accommodation as you prepare to explore the best of Uganda. Meal plan: full board

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison falls national park, Ziwa rhino ranch & visit top of the falls.

Having enjoyed your morning repast, our tour guide will drive you to the north western part of the pearl of Africa to the country’s oldest and largest national park and home to arguably the world’s most powerful waterfalls that makes its way through an eight meter gorge. Along the way you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhinoceros tracking that comes along with possible sightings of other fauna such as Giraffes, and warthogs. Meal plan: half board

Day 3

Game drive and Launch cruise

At dawn you will start your day with an energizing meal, and our safari guide will take you through a morning game drive. This experience comes along with possible chances of viewing wildlife in its natural habitat such as the Nubian giraffe, Harte beest, the Ugandan kob as well as predators like lions, hyenas and leopards not forgetting the world’s largest living land animal, the African elephant. You will enjoy lunch in the savannah and then continue to experience an amazing launch cruise at the bottom of arguably the world’s powerful waterfalls. You can as well take a short hike to the top of the falls for a much closer and feel to Murchison falls. After this amazing session you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 4

Transfer to Kibale forest national park and Bigodi swamp walk

A road trip to Kibale forest national park home to the country’s largest population of chimpanzees will ignite the spark for the next adventure. After breakfast and checking out you will experience this adventure through the beautiful terrain of the country. Upon arrival at the lodge you will check in have a delicious meal then explore the bigodi swamp walk, a walk through the gentle lush vegetation that’s welcoming and soothing. After this memorable session you will head back to the lodge and enjoy the surroundings as you prepare for the next highlight. Meal plan: full board.

Day 5

Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After a hearty breakfast, you will set off to the park headquarters and be briefed by the park warden about the dos and don’ts of the adventurous activity, the tracking might take about 3-4hours depending on the location of the chimpanzee communities in their natural habitat. After this thrilling activity, you will enjoy your lunch and drive to the medley of wonders, Queen Elizabeth national park the upon arrival you will check in and have a quality time for relaxing as you wait for dinner. Meal plan: half board.

Day 6

Game drive and Boat cruise

Having enjoyed breakfast, you will settle in for a morning game drive and have chances of viewing animals foraging such as African buffaloes, African elephants, bushbucks, tops and zebras. You might also view predators such as lions, leopards and hyenas after this memorable experience you will have a lunch break and go for an afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel, here you will have chances of viewing animals such as hippos and African elephants hydrating and cooling off the day’s temperatures. Day 7

Ishasha sector and drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Breakfast will set the tone for the day as you prepare to explore the southern sector of the park known as Ishasha sector. This sector is as well famously known for tree climbing lions. This trait is astonishingly amazing about these beautiful lions. Enabling the lions to regulate their body temperatures on cooler altitudes, enabling them with leverage over territory intruders and prey. Having lunch in the savannah will much more make it memorable then after you will embark on a trip to Lake Bunyonyi in the famous Kigezi. Meal plan: half board

Day 8

Launch cruise and community tour

at dawn, the morning meal will get you ready for the day then you will settle in for a morning boat ride on lake Bunyonyi, the name for the lake is derived from the local language meaning “lake of many birds” with over 200 bird species this makes it a hotspot for bird watching travelers with bird species such as African sacred ibis, red eyed dove, blue headed coucal, and the purple heron ardea. For much deeper insight on the cultural aspect of the bakiga tribe you can have a brief community tour and discover what lies in the great strength of the bakiga people. Meal plan: half board,

Day 9

Transfer to Lake Mburo

Your stay in the country’s smallest savannah national park will be breathtaking, surrounded with beautiful rolling hills and vast plains colored with black and white stripes of plain zebras, foraging impalas and olive baboons. At the end of an amazing game drive, you will have lunch then bid farewell to Lake Mburo as you drive back to Entebbe for your departure flight the next day. Meal plan: half board

Day 10

shoebill tour in Mabamba swamp and transfer to the airport for departure

The last day of the safari will come with yet another stunning adventure not just for the birdwatchers but also the lovers of nature’s beauty. After the morning meal you will drive to Entebbe for the shoebill tour, a prehistoric-looking bird with iconic features. then later enjoy a farewell drive to Entebbe international airport for departure.
